afterglow (hereinafter the "Service Provider") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other relevant laws, and makes every effort to safeguard users' personal information. This policy explains how users' personal information is collected, used, stored, and destroyed in the mobile service provided by the Service Provider.
The Service Provider collects the following personal information. (Required) Social login account identifier; profile information (name, email, profile image); and travel itineraries, saved courses, and treatment schedule information generated in the course of using the service. (Optional) Device location information. (Automatically collected) Device information (OS, device identifier, app version); and service usage records and error logs.
The collected personal information is used to identify members and maintain login sessions, recommend travel courses and provide map and route guidance, manage saved courses, respond to customer inquiries and deliver notices, ensure service stability and improve errors, and prevent misuse. The Service Provider does not use personal information for any purpose other than those stated.
The Service Provider uses location information only when the user has consented and granted device location permission, for the purposes of displaying maps, providing route guidance, and recommending nearby places. Location information is used temporarily to provide the relevant features and is destroyed without delay once the purpose of provision has been achieved (except where retention is required under applicable laws). Users may change location permission or withdraw consent in their device settings, in which case the use of location-based features may be limited.
The Service Provider does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent. However, it may provide such information only where the user has consented in advance, where there is a legal basis, or where an investigative agency requests it in accordance with lawful procedures.
The Service Provider may outsource part of its personal information processing tasks to external parties for the smooth provision of the service. Outsourcees may include cloud infrastructure providers for running the app and storing data, social login authentication providers, map and tile data providers, and analytics tool providers for improving service quality. When outsourcing, the Service Provider stipulates and supervises the necessary matters so that personal information is managed safely in accordance with applicable laws.
In principle, the Service Provider destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved or the member withdraws. However, where relevant laws such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Protection of Communications Secrets Act require retention for a certain period, the information is stored safely and separately for that period before being destroyed.
Personal information whose retention period has elapsed or whose processing purpose has been achieved is destroyed without delay. Information in the form of electronic files is permanently deleted using a method that makes recovery and reproduction impossible, and information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration.
Users may at any time view or correct their personal information, request suspension of processing or deletion, and withdraw consent to collection and use. Membership withdrawal and account deletion can be carried out directly within the app under "My Page > Withdraw Membership," and other rights may be exercised by request through the customer center below. Upon receiving a request, the Service Provider takes the necessary measures without delay.
This service is, in principle, intended for users aged 14 or older. The Service Provider does not collect the personal information of children under the age of 14, and if it is confirmed that a child's personal information has been collected, it will be deleted without delay at the request of the legal guardian or upon the Service Provider's verification.
